Commercial refrigeration companies: partner with Walk-In Cooler Repair Pros
Walk-In Cooler Repair Pros sends restaurants, grocers and other food businesses with a failing walk-in to one refrigeration company per county. Read how the requests are generated, how territories are held and how to apply.
Who we are looking for
We want commercial refrigeration contractors who diagnose and repair walk-in coolers and freezers: compressors and condensing units, evaporator fans and coils, defrost timers and heaters, expansion valves, refrigerant leaks, door gaskets, heated door frames and panel damage. Companies that offer preventive maintenance agreements and after-hours response are the strongest fit.
Walk-In Cooler Repair Pros is not a refrigeration company. It is an independent guide published by Cornelia Cove LLC. We explain what common walk-in failures cost to fix, when replacement makes more sense than repair, and what health codes expect for cold holding, so the business owner can make a quick decision.
How business owners reach us
Requests come from kitchen managers and owners whose walk-in is running warm, icing up, short cycling, leaking water or not holding temperature overnight, and from operators planning a new box or a refrigeration upgrade. They read our repair cost guides, the emergency pages written for a box that is losing temperature, and the market pages that summarize local food-code and licensing context.
When they want a technician, they fill in our request form with a name, phone, the service needed, city, urgency and a description. Any free-tool result they used is attached. We never forward a request a business did not submit.
What reaches you
A person reviews every request before it goes out. You get contact details, location, urgency and the description, which often includes the box size, cooler or freezer, the symptoms, how long it has been warm and whether product has been moved. Emergencies with food at risk are flagged so you can call back first.
Business owners are told an independent local company may contact them. We never suggest you are part of our business, and we never quote your rates.
Exclusive county territories, first come
One refrigeration company holds each county. Walk-in requests from inside that county go only to that company and are not resold or shared. Food-service inspections and contractor licensing are commonly organized by county or state, which makes the county line a clean boundary.
Counties are given to the first qualified company that completes onboarding. If the county you want is already held, ask for its waiting list or for a neighboring county that is still open. Because a warm walk-in can cost a kitchen its inventory, we assign only the counties you can cover quickly.
Partner expectations
Hold the mechanical, refrigeration or HVAC license your state and locality require, the EPA Section 608 certification your technicians need to handle refrigerant, and liability insurance; we may ask for proof. Quote repairs in writing with parts, labor, refrigerant and trip charges listed, respond to new requests promptly and tell us about invalid or out-of-area requests.
If a door gasket, a clogged condenser or a failed defrost timer is the real issue, say so before quoting a new condensing unit. Our guides prepare owners to ask that question.
When the calls come
Walk-in failures tend to cluster in hot weather, when condensing units on roofs and in alleys work hardest, and on weekends and holidays when kitchens are full and technicians are scarce. Many operators reaching us have just discovered the box warm at opening time and are deciding whether to move product into reach-ins or rent a refrigerated trailer. A partner who can give a realistic arrival time on the first call, and who keeps common fan motors, defrost parts and gaskets on the truck, is exactly what these businesses are looking for.
What contractors usually ask
Do the requests include reach-in units and ice machines? Sometimes; the description says so, and you can decline work outside your scope. Do you send national chain locations? Rarely, since those usually use their own service networks. Can a company that only services freezers apply? Yes, state your limits when you apply.
Applying
Use the request form on our contact page and start the description with "Partner application". Include your company name, the counties you want, your license and certification details, your insurance carrier and whether you offer after-hours service. We answer by email.
Each partnership is agreed individually before requests are sent. We do not publish partner prices and do not promise a number of requests, which varies by county and season.
